Lessons From Mama - Block #3

Here is the January block from the "Lessons from Mama" BOM. The colors are pink and green (not the peach and brown that they look in the picture!!) This was a quick block to make...just a nine patch variation!

Does anyone have any tips for taking better pictures?? I sure am frustrated with how the colors turn out so dark when I take photos indoors. ~sigh~

I am enjoying seeing these blocks from Lessons from Mama. Think I'd enjoy doing this project. I'm going to look for this book in my quilt stores.

I have trouble with lighting too. Don't know the answer.Sorry :( I had to close my curtains when taking the pic of my All Roads quilt because it was too bright. Then it distorted the colors. No pic is as good as seeing the real thing in person.

Have a great day.

Another nice block. About your camera...the flash is not bright enough, but why...I don't know. I think I would check in my manual.
Good Luck!

Try increasing the EV level. I forget what it stands for, but it well help make things lighter.

Love these blocks, Conni, and to know they come together quickly is great!
