At left are a few of the goodies I bought on my Hop! I'm planning on making a tote bag with the "Fresh" charm pack and coordinating fabrics, and a quilt with the Mary Engelbreit "Recipe for Friendship" layer cake and coordinating fabric. The pattern, called "Bloom", is so sweet, and I will make this one up using my 30's reproduction fabric stash.

I LOVE your charms for the tote...remind me of the ones I made a tote from last year after retreat. Also, I made a table runner from a charm pack like your layer cake pieces...I love it so I know you will too...and in a quilt it's going to be cute!
I've never done a shop hop....sounds like fun!
See ya soon,
Peg
I am in awe of you BPF gals who like to make quilts from patterns that require lots and lots of machine sewing. I'm doing one right now, and it's lovely, but the non-stop machine sewing makes me tired. ;) The "quilt seeds" idea is so clever! Wouldn't be great if we could just plant these little 2-1/2" squares and harvest a completed quilt top later in the season?!
Well howdy-do stranger! I've been wondering where you've been.;D
Shopping I see.....looks like you made out pretty good. Keep us posted on those UFO's.
Blessings!
I learned a new term .."quilt seeds" . Such a cute idea.
A Shop Hop sounds like fun!
Happy sewing!
Sounds like such fun, and you got such beautiful fabrics!
Sounds like a fun time Conni! I hope you win a prize! :)
Can't wait until retreat!
I love the idea of "quilt seeds!" That charm pack looks scrumotious, and I can't get over that paisly and hummingbird fabric! Wow! I'm glad you had fun!
