Staying True

Here's my April block for the Quilt Square Quilt Along at Jo's Country Junction.  For April, we were to select the block of our choice from those remaining in Lori Smith's Quilt Squares #1 pattern.  I chose the applique block.  I had started this block with needle turn applique, but quickly decided that I would not have time to finish it before the end of April, so I made a second block and used the machine applique method.  Did I need to make 2 blocks?  No...but I wanted to stay with my commitment to make a block each month.  I prefer the needle turn applique method, but wanted to take my time and do a respectable job on the workmanship.  As with previous months, I used my Kansas Trouble scraps.

It looks wonderful. I like to do hand applique but it is slower, definitely.

I clicked on one of your links in the blog roll and got some site about "who stalks your name" or something like that. I think it was Pinelands Patches. Thought I'd let you know.

It seems this month crept up on all of us. I am hoping May treats us all little kinder. Love your block. You color selection is wonderful.

You did great as usual Conni! I wasn't brave enough to tackle the applique block, but I really loved that Anvil block from the beginning. :) See you soon!!
