And The Two Became One

My son, Jacob, married his beloved Rachel on Sunday! It was a beautiful, simple wedding ceremony held during the Sunday morning worship service. I hope that some day these two will share the story of their courtship. It is an encouraging one, and one that our children should hear. I know that they don't want to be in the spotlight, but they are a true testimony to what serving God with their heart, mind and body looks like. I cried on Sunday! I'm crying now!! Tears of joy!

Mrs. D's baby boy has taken a wife!!

Hope to post a few more pictures as soon as my darling daughter sends them to me!! Hint-hint!

We're Off!!

We're on our way to Seattle to visit with my mother- and father-in-law, extended family and friends! The photo is from 1985, on the ocassion of my in-laws' 40th wedding anniversary. This October, they will celebrate 63 years of marriage. What an incredible milestone...one I hope my husband and I can emulate!

My husband (third from right) is the 7th of 10 children born to Andy and Bertha!
